Description
This course is about providing a detailed understanding of advanced surface mining systems and technology.
For each of the surface mining systems considered the course will develop an in-depth understanding and analysis of :
- Mining processes and systems and their key drivers.
- Core risk identification and mitigation.
- Method infrastructure requirements.
At the end of this course, the students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of :
- Advanced surface mining systems and applications.
- Selection and evaluation of appropriate mining systems depending on site specifics.
- Assessment of core risks associated with each mining system.
