Sisters are doing it for themselves! – Katerine Drabasch an MEA student from UQ is joining her sisters by studying to be a Mining Engineer.

So many pizza boxes – so little time! MEA students on Tuesday at UQ enjoying a free pizza lunch. Mining Engineering students are clearly a hungry mob with all pizza devoured in 60 minutes! Third and Fourth year students attended along with Paulette Schmidt Administrator of MEA, Prof Peter Knights Executive Director of MEA and Ailsa Page Marketing Consultant for MEA who chatted with students about their MEA experience. Students shared their ideas about what’s great about MEA and also suggestions for improvement. Some students were even brave enough to be video interviewed.

Lecturers and staff from all four MEA Universities (UQ, UoA, UNSW, WASM) meet last week (7 – 9 July) at the National Wine Centre Adelaide to review course materials and brainstorm new teaching iniatives for 2011.
